Description:  Pewter pendant featuring the engraved Kaunaz rune, made for us by St Justin in Cornwall (UK). The alloy, 92% tin completed with copper and antimony, gives it strength. It comes with a 68 cm waxed leather cord with an adjustable sliding double knot, along with the official box and an explanatory certificate (in English). It belongs to the oldest runic series, the 24 Norse letters used by the ancient Vikings both for writing and for divination. The traditional meaning of Kano or Kenaz is "the torch", symbolizing knowledge and certainty. To know, or to be able to know, is the essence of Kenaz, as is the ability to pass one's knowledge on to others. The torch also symbolizes creative inspiration and the ability to maintain focus. On a psychological level it represents introspection, trusting one's own intuitions. Combined with Raitho, the rune that allows an individual to direct their own path, Kenaz will light the way. In a reading, Kenaz can indicate that things are opening up and becoming clearer. What was previously dark is now clear. You may experience a renewed sense of clarity and determination. It is the moment to begin new projects and relationships. Reversed, Kenaz indicates that darkness has fallen over a situation or relationship. You may have lost sight of things and be unable to bring them into focus. Kenaz calls on you to let go of the past, that way of being no longer fits, and the price to pay, if you don't come to terms with it, is the loss of an opportunity. If found among delay runes, reversed Kaunaz can block any form of progress and create a great deal of anxiety. If found with Nauthiz, reversed Kenaz can reveal that a relationship has come to an end, especially if that relationship is of a romantic nature. As with zodiac signs, with some approximation, you can choose your rune according to your birth period, or by looking for the meaning that best suits you or the person you wish to give it to, an original gift for anyone who loves the mysterious charm of the ancient Celtic and Norse runes.
