Once upon a time there was a girl who was quite good at drawing. She would be the one at school who was asked to draw pictures for the school newspaper, paint the backdrops for plays and make all the signs for her friends running for class president. When she was in high school she met her knight, Nikes. He showed her the world of Dungeons & Dragons. She was bewitched! There was a world here full of passion, imagination and wonder. So, of course, she started using her talent to draw this new world. Out of it came dragons, knights, evildoers and holy warriors. This girl and her brilliant knight went to the magical realm of the University of Alabama and brought the imagination with them. They met wonderful new friends and madmen who fell in love with this world of magic as much as they did. One day, these intrepid friends went to a local science fiction and fantasy convention called Continuity in Birmingham, Alabama. Her surprising younger sister (Victoria) and her knight decided that the girl would sell her drawings at the art show and, to her horror, had them exhibited! There, she sold 7 of the 12 she brought! So far the girl, who is now a grown woman, still insists that they were the best $46 she ever made!
