Description:  Pewter pendant featuring the engraved Isa rune, made for us by St Justin in Cornwall (UK). The alloy, 92% tin completed with copper and antimony, gives it strength. It comes with a 68 cm waxed leather cord with an adjustable sliding double knot, along with the official box and an explanatory certificate (in English). It belongs to the oldest runic series, the 24 Norse letters used by the ancient Vikings both for writing and for divination. The traditional meaning of Isa is "ice". It is the element of Water in its solid state, which has been shaped into a form, as opposed to the fluid that lacks one. The principles represented here are preservation and resistance to change. It is a necessary force in nature, which slows down the evolutionary process, making uncontrolled growth impossible. On a psychological level, Isa can represent areas of the unconscious that reveal fossilized behaviours that may have been part of one's character since birth. It may not be possible to change them, and trying to bring them to light is not advisable. It has a frustrating influence and usually means that a period of time (or a season) may pass before it is possible to move forward. Few things can grow successfully in Isa's environment, and Isa often calls on you to make personal sacrifices, to abandon old ideas and associations that are perpetuating the situation. During this period it is imperative to look within, because there may be no external help available. Sometimes there is nothing wrong with stopping. Isa is a warning that, in this state of spiritual winter, you could make the wrong choice, or may have underestimated the energy needed to move forward. At this point you are only able to maintain what you have. Isa is only received upright. As with zodiac signs, with some approximation, you can choose your rune according to your birth period, or by looking for the meaning that best suits you or the person you wish to give it to, an original gift for anyone who loves the mysterious charm of the ancient Celtic and Norse runes.
