Jim Shore

Jim Shore grew up in the South Carolina countryside, the son of artistic parents who instilled a love of American folk art. His grandmother was a quilter master who taught him the patience and skill to give life to intricate projects. Jim has worked decades developing his art, making his plans and traveling around the country to sell his works. Eventually, in 2001, he partnered with Enesco to create Heartwood Creek, the successful brand that brought Jim around the world. Jim has received numerous awards from prestigious commercial organizations including the ICON HONORS Life Accomplishment Award in 2012. At Christmas Jim is a legend in the gift sector, which inspires retailers and consumers with a lasting body of work based on tradition, the family and love for the country. Jim's unmistakable style combines a diverse color palette with a timeless design based on images of American and European folk art shapes, including quilting, rosemary and tole painting. His new interpretation of traditional motifs has an international appeal and works with a variety of themes and formats, including Jim's successful collaborations with iconic brands such as Disney, Peanuts, Coca Cola and, more recently, The Grinch. During its 16-year collaboration with Enesco, the Jim Shore Collection went from a small group of Santa Claus, Snowmen and Angels to a brand all year long respected and sold worldwide. From show statues to mini figurines, from Santa Claus to Mickey Mouse, Jim Shore has something for everyone. It is a tribute to Jim's boundless creativity and his unique ability to touch people in all walks of life through his art.
