General informations


The delivery of the Products takes place at the address specified by the user in the order form ("Shipping Address").

The express couriers we use are: SDA and Bartolini for national shipments, GLS for international shipments.

Home Delivery is meant on the street level. Home delivery will be made from Monday to Friday during normal office hours (from 9 to 18), excluding national holidays.

To the days required for shipping, indicated below, 1 day must be added for the preparation of the order and the time necessary for receiving the payment (from 0 up to 3 working days for a bank transfer arriving from abroad) . The estimate indicated next to the description of the single product is therefore indicative, since it does not take into account the times for receiving payments.

You can track your shipment thanks to the tracking number and / or link that will be sent to you by e-mail at the conclusion of the purchase.

In case of non-delivery due to your absence at the address specified in the order form, the courier will leave you a transit notification containing the contact number ("Notice of Transition"). The courier will then make a second delivery attempt the next day, or you will have to contact him to agree on an alternative delivery date, depending on the instructions on the Notice of Passage. If even this attempt is not successful or if you do not contact the courier, the package will go "in stock" to the courier. The courier will then communicate the stock to la fata & il Drago who, through the Customer Service, will contact you in order to provide you with all the information necessary to collect the package at the courier branch. In the event that the courier does not collect it within 3 days from the delivery of the notice of passage, the courier will charge additional costs, which will be charged to the customer.

The delivery procedure, the terms for handling in the event of non-delivery due to the absence of the recipient and the consequences of non-collection within the agreed terms and of return to the sender for non-delivery will be remembered in the Shipping Confirmation E-mail.



Shipping Cost


Shipping costs are calculated automatically during the purchase and are shown on the cart page before confirming the order: they will appear after entering your delivery address. On this site it is possible to complete an order only if the shipping address is in Italy or in one of the countries shown in the table below. Otherwise it is still possible to purchase: contact us by e-mail on ordini@lafataeildrago.com and we will provide you with a customized quote, based on your order and the country of destination. All the following prices are inclusive of VAT.


Shipping costs depend on the volume of the items placed in the cart, and are divided into 3 cost ranges:

  • small items: up to 3 kg of volumetric weight, equal to a package max. about 23 x 23 x 23 cm.
  • medium items:from 3 Kg. up to 15 Kg. of volumetric weight, equal to one pack max. about 40 x 40 x 40 cm.
  • bulky items: over 15 kg of volumetric weight


There is a further band dedicated exclusively to the shipment of the books of our fantasy saga The Enchantment of Time.

In the case of a cart with mixed items, the cost is determined by the largest item present.

There are some rare articles that are exceptions. Due to the very large footprint or value, they do not allow for normal handling.
For these items the system does not allow automatic shipment and their purchase must be evaluated case by case, by contacting us from time to time, before completing the payment.


The formula "Piego di Libri" by Poste Italiane does not constitute an express service, and does not always guarantee delivery on schedule.
For every other item we always ship by express courier (SDA or Bartolini), with guaranteed delivery in 24/48 hours throughout Italy, and Tracking service available.

We always ship by GLS express courier, with Tracking service available.
The minimum order allowed is € 25.
Insurance is optional and requires an extra € 8.



Insurance


The goods will be shipped insured only if expressly requested by the customer, who (if Italian) must also provide the tax code, when completing the order.
The insurance covers only the value of the goods, excluding VAT, excluding shipping and insurance costs.
Requires a surcharge proportional to the shipping range, as shown in the previous table:
In case of damage, the customer is required to send photographs proving the damage within 24 hours from the date of receipt of the package and a signed declaration of the external appearance of the package and the contents inside.
The insurance does not guarantee coverage of any glass parts.
The insurance strictly requires that the customer has signed "conditionally" for the delivery of the package.



Disclaimer


The main objective is to ensure that the order arrives at its destination as soon as possible. However, customers and / or recipients are responsible for the products received and the delivery details provided at the time of purchase (always check that they are correct).

It is not possible to take any responsibility for any losses incurred by the customer or the recipient, in terms of non-refundable transport costs and / or additional costs for the delivery of the goods or for the replacement of the same.

In the event that you receive an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us by phone or email within 2 days from the date of receipt of the order, and with a photograph of the package and its contents.

Refunds are possible by the shipper ONLY IF with insured shipping. The costs for the departure shipment and the import duty are not refundable. The same goes for the costs incurred for the return and insurance of the item, unless otherwise agreed.

As already reported in "Terms & Conditions" responsibility is borne by the customer / recipient once the order is shipped.
