Description:  Pewter pendant featuring the engraved Eihwaz rune, made for us by St Justin in Cornwall (UK). The alloy, 92% tin completed with copper and antimony, gives it strength. It comes with a 68 cm waxed leather cord with an adjustable sliding double knot, along with the official box and an explanatory certificate (in English). It belongs to the oldest runic series, the 24 Norse letters used by the ancient Vikings both for writing and for divination. The traditional meaning of Eihwaz is "yew", and like the yew tree, Eihwaz represents Yggdrasil, which holds the union of life and death, the life that gives it the strength to sustain it eternally. The vertical axis of Eihwaz represents the vertical axis of the world tree that connects the three branches of heaven, earth, and the underworld. Through this connection, Eihwaz acts as communication, supporting opposing forces between one another. In ancient times, Eihwaz was associated with hunting and its risky nature. It is a rune of strongly assertive and defensive powers, likely giving you the push needed to take a leap into the dark, a test of faith. Action, endurance and resilience are other traits of Eihwaz. If in response to a question about a new project, Eihwaz advises you to take the risk. You have the courage needed and the protection to act quickly and move forward successfully. Eihwaz also informs you that with foresight and the right action, difficulties can be avoided. If a situation is uncertain, it may be wise to anticipate now the problems that will arise in the future. The ability to anticipate consequences is a sign of a powerful, defensive thinker. Eihwaz points out that problems can turn into victories if caught in time. Eihwaz is only received upright. As with zodiac signs, with some approximation, you can choose your rune according to your birth period, or by looking for the meaning that best suits you or the person you wish to give it to, an original gift for anyone who loves the mysterious charm of the ancient Celtic and Norse runes.
