Description:  Pewter pendant featuring the engraved Laguz rune, made for us by St Justin in Cornwall (UK). The alloy, 92% tin completed with copper and antimony, gives it strength. It comes with a 68 cm waxed leather cord with an adjustable sliding double knot, along with the official box and an explanatory certificate (in English). It belongs to the oldest runic series, the 24 Norse letters used by the ancient Vikings both for writing and for divination. The traditional meaning of Laguz is lake, water, or sea. It embodies water's qualities of guiding and mediating, as well as the principles of imagination and intuitive knowledge. The forces of mutual attraction have also been attributed to this rune, most likely because of its association with the rising and falling of the tides. When Laguz appears in a reading, it usually indicates that hidden powers are actively working to take shape and manifest. Career, relationships and emotions are all subject to this flow, which allows new realities to take form. Laguz pushes us toward union and merging, and toward a greater closeness with our intuitions. Tuning in to your natural rhythms is important at this time, and Laguz often signals that the moment has come to realign, reassess and reorganize the self. If it appears with Perth, Laguz can indicate that you are being guided by your conscious side, or by psychic abilities that may take the form of prophetic dreams warning you of a potentially dangerous situation or a bad offer. Listening to your intuition is both appropriate and beneficial. Receiving reversed Laguz indicates that you have been, or will be, misled by your own intuition. Failing to use your instinct may have placed you in a situation far beyond what you can handle. Reversed, Laguz is a rune that signifies temptation to do the wrong thing, or to look for the easy way out of a situation. In both cases it will lead to problems, and you will likely feel distressed. Unless paired with delay runes, Laguz advises leaving this situation immediately. As with zodiac signs, with some approximation, you can choose your rune according to your birth period, or by looking for the meaning that best suits you or the person you wish to give it to, an original gift for anyone who loves the mysterious charm of the ancient Celtic and Norse runes.
