Description:  Pewter pendant featuring the engraved Jera rune, made for us by St Justin in Cornwall (UK). The alloy, 92% tin completed with copper and antimony, gives it strength. It comes with a 68 cm waxed leather cord with an adjustable sliding double knot, along with the official box and an explanatory certificate (in English). It belongs to the oldest runic series, the 24 Norse letters used by the ancient Vikings both for writing and for divination. The traditional meaning of Jera is "year" or "harvest". It has associations with the division of the seasons and the cycles that lead into one another. As the twelfth rune of the Futhark, Jera divides the alphabet in two and represents the span of a year. Jera is a good and hopeful rune. It encourages and implies good outcomes once the cycle has been completed. You can assume that careful sowing has taken place, and with proper cultivation you will eventually succeed. During the long period of cultivation, Jera offers perseverance and encouragement. Quick success is not guaranteed by this rune, there is always a period of time before you can harvest the fruits. Hard work and patience will eventually be rewarded.
