Description:  Pewter pendant featuring the engraved Ehwaz rune, made for us by St Justin in Cornwall (UK). The alloy, 92% tin completed with copper and antimony, gives it strength. It comes with a 68 cm waxed leather cord with an adjustable sliding double knot, along with the official box and an explanatory certificate (in English). It belongs to the oldest runic series, the 24 Norse letters used by the ancient Vikings both for writing and for divination. The traditional meaning of Ehwaz is "horse", and many agree that it depicts a pair of horses. Like Raitho, Ehwaz has to do with movement or a journey, but more specifically with the means of transport. While Raitho represents the ability to take control of a situation, Ehwaz represents the ability to adapt to new situations. Receiving Ehwaz indicates a change that often involves travel or even a physical change of residence. It is a rune of transformation and settling that leads to solid growth and gradual development. Relationships and business can undergo these changes and adjustments in an effort to grow and prosper. Ehwaz will provide the adaptations and cooperation needed during this period of growth. If paired with delay runes, Ehwaz advises holding firm, your influence will not be felt just yet. Enduring a delay can even prove beneficial. Reversed, Ehwaz, if alone in a reading, carries no significant negative weight. In fact, it can still retain its normal meaning. For example, paired with Laguz, reversed Ehwaz can indicate a very long journey. Paired with Raitho, the journey may be short, but it will be a journey of pleasure. If found among negative runes, reversed Ehwaz often indicates some kind of loss. It may be that a romantic relationship has ended, or that you have lost something that perhaps wasn't right for you, since not every possibility is suitable. Ehwaz advises staying still and not starting any change for now. You must consider what is appropriate for your nature right now, keeping in mind that the right opportunities will come in their own time. As with zodiac signs, with some approximation, you can choose your rune according to your birth period, or by looking for the meaning that best suits you or the person you wish to give it to, an original gift for anyone who loves the mysterious charm of the ancient Celtic and Norse runes.
