Description:  Pewter pendant featuring the engraved Othila rune, made for us by St Justin in Cornwall (UK). The alloy, 92% tin completed with copper and antimony, gives it strength. It comes with a 68 cm waxed leather cord with an adjustable sliding double knot, along with the official box and an explanatory certificate (in English). It belongs to the oldest runic series, the 24 Norse letters used by the ancient Vikings both for writing and for divination. The literal meaning of Othila can be traced back to the German word "adel" and the Dutch word "edel", both meaning "noble". Othila appears to be a combination of Gebo and Inguz and can be interpreted as "the gift of Ing". As a rune of inheritance and possession, try to understand both concepts, inherited qualities and inherited possessions. Inherited powers can be wisdom passed down from ancestors, the centre that binds you as an individual, understood as the soul. These powers are mysterious, and Othila serves to strengthen them. It can call you back to your roots and your native land. It can make you experience the sensation of getting to know your true identity. Inherited properties usually take the form of property rights, or, if they represent money, a pension. Othila helps resolve legal issues that may arise regarding inherited assets. On a spiritual level, reversed Othila signals a detachment from one's roots or inherited powers, such as neglected gifts that are now weakened. On a physical level, it can indicate a delay in regaining a given level of health, and that no external help is available. Continuing to push on regardless can cause irreparable damage to the situation. Accuracy and an analysis of current motives and behaviours are required. As with zodiac signs, with some approximation, you can choose your rune according to your birth period, or by looking for the meaning that best suits you or the person you wish to give it to, an original gift for anyone who loves the mysterious charm of the ancient Celtic and Norse runes.
