Jessica Galbreth
Great fantasy artist, Jessica Galbreth was born on April 29, 1974 in Toledo, Ohio. Today she has established her home and studio in the city of Waterville, also in Ohio, where she lives with her husband Josh and their 2 children. Although Jessica studied art, particularly painting for 3 years at the Toledo Museum of Art, she continues to consider herself a self-taught artist. Her artworks are created mainly with water colors, pens and ink, but she also uses other techniques to create different and more articulated effects. Jessica began her career in 1999, with a modest website. To her surprise, the interest in her fantasy art seems to increase dramatically as soon as she starts to show and sell her creations, so she decides to keep enlarging her website and lines. Now you can find Jessica's works in many different formats: paintings, postcards, greeting cards, calendars, books, collectible figurines and ceramics produced by leading companies around the world. Her dealers include important names that have made her reach the Australian, English and even Japanese markets, so Jessica has become an artist known all over the world! She is most celebrated for her ability to capture the elusive and mysterious beauty of gods and fairies from mythology!! Each of her visions brought to life on the paper has its own personality and often evokes and arouses strong emotions in the viewer. Some of his fairies are elegant, sweet, ethereal... while others are elusive, dark, powerful... "I am often asked why I decided to paint mythological or fantastic images in my artistic career. Honestly, it doesn't seem like a choice, but it was simply in my heart... since I was little I've always loved fantasy, especially the one related to mythology. I am inspired by many things, Mother Nature in all her beauty, the intricate stories and myths of ancient cultures, the mysterious shadows of the moon, the innocence and simplicity I see in my children's eyes. My greatest hope is that my art will serve as a reminder of the magic that surrounds us and always lives inside us". Jessica Galbreth.
