Hap Henriksen

Hap Henriksen
After studying anthropology, Hap became a prominent exponent of Western art, gaining permanent places for his work in important exhibitions and museums. After the rise of Fantastic Art's popularity in the mid-1970s, Hap moved his creativity to this exciting field, where he continued his previous successes. In 1983 he was working on a fantastic art exhibition to celebrate 25 years of NASA, the space agency. He has lectured across America on Fantastic Art and has won awards from the National Academy of Fantastic Art in Delaware and the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists. Before his "Wizards, Jesters & Dragons" range he made some pieces for companies such as Rawcliffe Pewter & Phoenix Pewter, and after the "Wizards, Jesters & Dragons" range he made a series of Dragons for The Dragonsite in 2000/2001 but only a handful was never released and most of them were smaller than the dragons collectors loved, so they didn't take off! There are many larger pieces that Hap has also made for Dragonsite, but for some unknown reason they have not been released, and one has the same dimensions as "Keeper of the Ruin" and "The Merchant of Dreams" (if not larger) .
